Griffin Memorial Scholarship

Defenders are the silent sentries of the USAF. The families of these Security Force members are often unrecognized for their steadfast support of their military family member. It is the mission of the Travis L. Griffin Memorial Scholarship to recognize and support the Defender family and to help make a difference in the educational aspirations of those family members.  Additionally, we also strive to support our wounded Defenders via the Scholarship Program.

Travis L. Griffin or "Griff" to many of his friends was a warrior, leader, and friend.  While serving with the Mulitnational Forces in Iraq he was killed April 3, 2008 when an improvised explosive device detonated underneath his vehicle.  This scholarship fund was created and is now managed by his fellow Defenders, who served alongside him.  Griff was our brother and will always remain in our hearts.
The non-profit scholarship operates fully on donations.  All proceeds are given back to the community in the form of collegiate scholarships.  All donations or profits from the purchase of memorial items are placed into scholarship funds.  If you wish to purchase a bracelet, sticker, mug or make a donation, please visit the Memorial Items link.
